of the Faculty of Letters and
Philosophy in Rome, with an interdisciplinary
experimental thesis on the philosophical
and psychological aspects of certain
yoga meditation techniques.
He pursued research in the field
with study trips and encounters
of particular significance in
India and the United States.
He was "visiting professor"
at Maharishi International University
in Santa Barbara, California,
USA.
In 1975 he founded a research
institute in Rome for the direct
experimentation and investigation
into other states of consciousness
accessible through meditation
techniques, of which he was president
until 1987.
Contemporaneously, he became interested
in Ayurveda and the synergetic
relationship that connects all
the traditional medicines.
He has collaborated for many years
with courses at the Italian Institute
of Ayurveda in Florence and with
Vaidya Bhagavan Dash's activities
in Italy, one of the greatest
Ayurveda authorities in the contemporary
world.
He collaborates with newspapers,
magazines and publishing houses,
always concerned with the Eastern
sector, in the philosophic and
scientific area.
He has written some books on the
diffusion of Ayurveda, published
by Gremese and by Mediterranean
Editions. For some years, together
with Dr.s Letizia Vercelloti and
Anne Verbist, he has practiced
teaching activities in Italy and
the EU to spread Ayurveda and
for the modelling of practitioners
and technicians in the diverse
aspects of wellbeing and health
connected to Ayurveda.

at the feet of the Himalayas and
Swamy ji, she encountered Ayurveda
as the Thought and Practice of
life.
She directed the pursuit of her
studies towards Ayurvedic Naturopathy
(member of S.I.H.e N.)
For many years she has collaborated
with the Italian Institute of
Ayurveda in Florence where, under
the direct guidance of Dr. Bhagwan
Dash, she has specialized in the
treatment of psychological discomfort,
using the methods of Ayurveda
and Yoga.

with Dr. Kashyap of New Delhi,
she has deepened her theoretical
and practical knowledge of the
diverse techniques of Ayurvedic
Massage and Panchakarma.
She collaborates in Italy with
Schools and Centres as a teacher

Regular sojourns in India at Ashrams
and Traditional Ayurvedic Centres
have allowed her to understand
and practice just that unique
global vision of life that Yoga
and Ayurveda have in common.
Convinced that Ayurveda mustn't
only be studied, but that it above
all represents an experience of
life, her courses respect the
most rigorous traditions, furnishing
the students with not only the
theoretical and didactic aspects
but also with practical experience
and manual dexterity.
Founder with Dr Bruno Romano of
the Ayurveda International Academy
(AIA), she works toward the diffusion
of the true Ayurveda in Italy
and the EU and for the formation
of Practitioners and Consultants
of health and Wellbeing according
to the principles of Ayurveda.
She serves in the role of Consultant
to Ayurveda Italia.
In
1982 she graduated in Rome in
medicine and surgery with 110

Her thesis on Preventitive Medicine
showed her interest in pharmaceuticals
without harmful side effects and
in the research and experimentation
of diverse aspects of traditional
medicine.
The following year (1983), she
started her work activities with
a collaborative relationship as
doctor responsible for a private
Analizing Laboratory, with being
a General Practitioner on the
side.
In 1985 she started a long road
of deepening her knowledge of
Ayurveda with a series of international
courses in Holland and other European

This ancient "Science of
Life" already became a working
part of her professional practice
in 1986, when she accepted a cooperative
relationship as doctor responsible
for an Ayurvedic centre for preventitive
health care and Panchakarma in
Rome.
In the following year (1987) she
participated in the organization
of two Ayurvedic International
congresses (April and July) in
Rome, sponsored by the Lazio region
and the Italian Institute of Preventitive
Medicine. These events were very
important for the development
of that network of contacts at
a national and international level,
necessary for a holistic formation
of the cognitive and therapeutic
aspects of Ayurveda.
In 2002 during a study voyage
in India she met the vaidya Vishnu
Datt Misra, from whom she learned
the work and preparation of numerous
refound Ayurvedic techniques,
assisting him in the last part
of his earthly existence.
