The Ayurveda International Academy (AIA) was
founded from the need to furnish professional instruction
in Italy and the EU, oriented toward the physical,
mental and spiritual Wellbeing of the individual,
of the collective and of the environment.
All of the members will be pioneers of a new way
of theoretical and practical formations, according
to the different disciplines and the traditional
teachings of Ayurveda or the Science of life.
Ends and Purposes The purpose of AIA isn't just that of following
the instruction process, practice and the members'
own research, but also that of presenting to all
the future professionals the varied cultural aspect
of Ayurveda that ranges from science to art (dance,
song, figurative arts), from spiritual practices
(meditation, yoga, martial arts) to astrology (jotish)
etc...
To attain this end the Academy intends to furnish
the most updated and comprehensive instruction possible,
within a classical and traditional structure and
set up, according to the philosophical principles
of the major schools of thought that are at the
base of Ayurveda (Samkya and Yoga).
This Academy, besides assisting its own members
so that they can express to the maximum their own
attitudes in the professional field, wants also
and above all to instill in each person a love of
Ayurveda.
This millenium opens new perspectives of globalization
and new professional experiences, fruit of a cultural
synergy to which the citizens of Europe are responding
with an always greater demand, addressed to the
products and natural treatments of Ayurveda. There
being already existing great differences in the
style of life between West and East, Ayurveda as
the Science of Life offers communal ground for cultural
integration and research.
As a competent interlocutor AIA proposes besides
to furnish the means adapted for the prevention
and treatment of the discomfort and of the discordant
energy that undermnines the bases of health themselves.
Ayurveda, in fact, puts special emphasis on preventative
measures, seen as adhesion to the natural laws of
the management of the body, the mind and soul, on
the part of the individual and of the collective.
The Academy additionally intends to undertake research
programs that will successfully add new increases
to the knowledge and to the comprehension of Ayurveda,
in the field of the prevention and maintenance of
an optimal state of health.
AIA wants, finally, to render accessible to an ever
greater number of people, the unique contribution
that Ayurveda furnishes to health and longevity,
by offering a series of opportunities for instruction
and research.
To be able to reach an ever increasing group of
students, Ayurveda International Academy (AIA) has
planned to carry out a series of courses via Internet.
A fusion of modern technology and ancient philosophy,
for a greater spread of knowledge, of the techniques
and the principles of wellbeing according to nature,
offered by the diverse branches of
Ayurveda.

To know and practice Ayurveda means to acquire a
holistic attitude towards a field of study and to
the complex and diverse practices, that carries
the real origins of the Vedica philosophy, and that
developed in a scientific and humanistic sphere.
The practice of Ayurveda necessitates a constant
leap, oriented towards the promotion of an optimal
state of wellbeing, adaptation to the changes of
health and the alleviation of every type of discomfort,
of suffering and of uneasiness in general, in a
vast variety of situations. To this purpose the
philosophy and principles of Ayurveda become the
indispensable instruments of a competent practitioner.
With these solid bases every practitioner will in
fact be able to proceed towards their own independent
work practice, confident of not separating themselves
from the fundamental thousand-year-old Vedici of
knowledge.
All the courses and AIA instruction programs have
been developed in line with the traditional colleges
and universities of India, also taking account of
national and regional European demands for the formation
of new professional figures that operate in the
diverse apects of individual wellbeing.
Beyond this, the Academy has structured ample grounds
for comparison in particular with all the techniques
of prevention and of maintaining an optimal state
of health offered by modern western research. Health
and prevention, fundamental terms of our study and
research courses, are terms of universal interest
and shouldn't be seen with only a conflicting East
- West viewpoint, but must also be integrated into
a vaster synergetic horizon. In this way the members
will be in a position to personalize their own formative
way, in relation to their preferences and individual
predispositions.
To conciliate these aspects in the way most advantageous
to the members, all the courses offered by AIA are
in a constant state of development and adaptation
that renders them flexible to the professional demands
of the moment.
The Ayurveda International Academy (AIA) constitutes
a vital component of a vaster community turned toward
the spreading of the preventative measures, and
of the individual and social wellbeing, and of the
theoretical and practical instruction of the diverse
techniques and diverse theoretical approaches between
